I really watched to like the Sherlock Holmes movie with Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law, and maybe some time ago I might have. It's alright, but it didn't thrill me or really engage me. It felt like there were chunks left on the cutting room floor that made the story fit together better. Honestly this felt like a sequel and I missed the first film. In its favor, it is visually appealing and has a sort of fun spirit.

I would however like that big shiny copper bath.

I enjoyed once I realised that I needed to watch it as I did The Fifth Element- an exploration of technique (acting, directing, cinematography, and effects), not as a story in its own right.

That's a good point. If I am honest, I must admit time spent watching Jude Law is really never wasted for me.

I felt like I was watching an episode of HOUSE. Just... more. And needlessly over-the-top.

It definitely borrowed from House for that dynamic. It was like fanfic of House and Wilson!

I hated the female lead in this film. She was so terrible miss romantic comedy, I wanted to punch her.

I kept looking at her and thinking "Someone wanted her to be Helena Bonham Carter except she really, really isn't."
