It is those final few moments of Hurt Locker that really, really show Kathryn Bigelow's style. I didn't expect to like this movie, mostly because of the subject matter. But it is really damn good.

I haven't seen it yet, but we did watch The Messenger last night. It was harrowing and tender all at once.
