It is those final few moments of Hurt Locker that really, really show Kathryn Bigelow's style. I didn't expect to like this movie, mostly because of the subject matter. But it is really damn good.

It's hard. Someone I know was hurt in an explosion there, and a kid I went to elementary school with died in a separate incident. SO I feel weird watching movies set in this place, because that is all I think about.

The film itself is fantastic. It reminded me most of her movie Strange Days.
