If you get a chance to watch this, it is worth the time. It's astonishingly faithful to the book and spot on target visually. The movie has a lot of sexual violence, but it isn't romanticized. It even seems to avoid the salacious torture porn vibe of a lot of films made in the past several years.

Noomi Rapace is totally amazing as Lisbeth Salander. A-fucking-mazing.

Most of all it makes me want to go back and read the books all over again.

I'm still trying to get through the third book. I don't know why, but I haven't been interested in ready for the past couple of weeks.

I need to watch the first film because The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest is already in the indie theater here.

Finally, I know the American version of this movie is going to suck ass. They're going to get Angelina Jolie to play Lisbeth or some shit, and I'm going to have to set something on fire.

I watched it yesterday on your recommendation and found it very good, uncompromising; the violence was hard to watch. I want to read the books eventually.
