project runway 2, pain
Aug. 6th, 2010 12:17 pmFirst of all, Lifetime's website people: I am glad you have the episodes on the web, because we gave up cable television. I don't even mind commercials, and the L'Oreal makeup commercials are at least more interesting as tiny tutorial moments as compared to most advertising. But for the love of all that's holy, you need to stop doing whatever jackass thing you do with your website that any time there's a commercial break, it kicks me out of full screen mode. It's annoying as hell. I'm working out while I'm watching your show, and it chaps my ass that I have to fumble for the mouse to re-size the video feed back to full screen on my TV. UGH. STOP DOING THAT.
That said, oh Project Runway.
There were comments on twitter last night about it being shark week and PR being a parody of itself nowadays. So true.
At least that annoying, pretentious, creepy asshole with his staples and safety pins is gone. The other contestant's comments about how they were nice because they sort of expected him to stab them with scissors made me laugh. Because that dude's grandiosity did not match up to anything he was making or doing in that work room. He really reminded me of my exhusband on the verge of a manic episode. Ugh.
I hate, hate the winning look though I get why they picked it. I just personally dislike the idea of a fashionable jumpsuit/romper/whatever. I really liked Mondo's outfit, which seemed so much more fun than about everything else. I also sort of loved that purple blouse with the racing stripe pants. I don't know why. It's not anything I would ever wear, but I thought it was cool. The red dress would look hot on a lot of people I know.
In other news, I have supremely annoying jaw pain that kept me up half the night. I cancelled all my social plans so I could lay around and eat ibuprofen. I really want a damned ice latte and a plate of sushi though. Ugh.
Ugh is punctuation for everything.

Date: 2010-08-07 12:06 am (UTC)I am so glad crazy staple man is gone. What a fuckhead. He wouldn't even wait to say goodbye to Tim. That bullshit doesn't fly with me. Punk ass deserved to go home.
I am more ambivalent about the other guy who got sent home. I felt bad for him because it felt like a little extra knife. You sort of could see it coming since they started with one extra person, but they rarely do double eliminations without announcing them first. You know he felt relieved for a minute before they pulled the plug. Poor guy.

Date: 2010-08-07 12:46 am (UTC)I was sort of surprised that Michael Kors didn't make any comments about Red dress model unzipping herself. I was sort of expecting it.
The extra elimination seemed cruel. Are they going to do that all season, being cagey and weird about how many people are going home? Ugh.
