I never get tired of singing Tom Petty songs

One of my favorite things about driving is having a good set of mix cds to listen to on the way. The only place I really sing is in the car. (Sorry fellow passengers, now and forever.) Next week we're driving to Dragon*con, so I need to get cracking on some music.

Please suggest your favorite driving songs. If you don't drive, please suggest your favorite riding on public transit/plane/long trip music.

I always listen to The Joshua Tree on cross-country trips. But there were a couple of songs that I had on frequent play on my trip this summer:

They Don't Know by Tracy Ullmann
Swimming Pool by Freezepop
Capriccio Espagnol by Rimsky-Korsakov
Halo by Beyonce
Take Me With U by Prince
Better Off Alone by Alice Deejay

There were a bunch of others, but that's sort of representative of the chipper-ness of the drive.
