If you remember, I was afraid I'd added the wrong amount of powdered sugar to the nougat part. I had to knead it to get it to come together. I slowly bumped up the heat on the caramel from low to 4 (medium comes after 5) until it was runny enough to incorporate the peanuts. The only way I can think of brittle happening is if you boiled it, and that's the kind of thing you'd have noticed at the time. :P

Project Runway disappointed me, too. I thought for sure Mondo would win, even though I liked Andy's collection best (because, shiny!). I remember an earlier season when the crazy LA designer with all the zippers won, and that the woman from NY who does couture evening gowns and the man from Israel who did gorgeous draping both lost. I thought "judges like crazy" was the paradigm.
