Do yourself a favor and see this for Christmas. It's one of the most beautiful American Westerns ever put to screen. The performances are sublime. The actors are so intense in their roles you forget utterly that they are big names or first time actors.

Oh, I am SO glad to hear this. I adore Jeff Bridges and absolutely love westerns, but I was a little worried about whether this would meet my expectations.
