Updating later than usual. Despite the fact that she was online during the storm, my roommate made me get off the computer because she "didn't want it to get fried." Yeah. Sometimes, she isn't very smart at all.

Last night while taking out the trash, I discovered two used hypodermic needles in the customer bathroom. Some guy was shooting up and hid them under the trash sack. My gut fear of needles and drugs and AIDS caused me to carry the trash at arm's length out to the dumpster. No way in hell was I going to come close to actually touching those.

Today was busy. It irks me that retail workers have to work Labor Day, so all the white collar folks can come out and spend their dollars. Rained fairly heavily in the last hour and all the customers cleared out.

Trying to study physical anthropology and Czech, early appointment in the morning. Talked to Suzanne and we whall have a laundry/dinner party on Thursday.

I could be the optimist and say maybe the person was diabetic, but I know better. It's probably worth mentioning to the manager by way of warning others though; I remember cutting my hand pretty severely on a can someone had put in the trash when I was trying to mash it down.

I had to work it too. Blah. I get comp time, and there were very few calls, but still... (whinge bitch moan)

Un Labor Day holiday indeed

Yeah I wondered about that too. But would a diabetic person go to the trouble of lifting the lid off the trash can, removing the sack and dropping the needles under the sack? Eek.

I mentioned it to one manager, and the next time I see the other I shall tell her too.
