no snow day

I freaking love Southland because it is wickedly funny and smart. Ben Sherman And The Lion is a great piece of fic that captures how a serious business Cop Drama also has some of the funniest dialogue around.

In other news, we're about the only place left without snow in America. It is however freezing and the air smells like ice. I haven't been this cold in ages. I made cinnamon toast since it occurred to me it has been years since I ate any, and warmed my hand over the open oven. Not that it isn't a habitable temperature, probably even absurdly warm, in our house. It just felt good.

The only state in the union that did not receive snow today was Florida. Yes, there was even snow in Hawaii.
