in meme country, part one

Today we walked in the balmy sixty five degree sunshine to the corner store and bought some snacks and milk and beer.
I like a meme on LJ. And internet memes in general. So I'm doing that meme where you write various things for ten days, because I feel better committing to ten rather than thirty and I've yet to see a thirty day meme I like completely. But ten is a nice, easy number. The first piece of the meme calls for various statements and most everyone writes them anonymously. Insert standard disclaimer about how it isn't all about you. None of them reference you, my LJ friends, and in fact some of them are about people who aren't actually here in this world.
1. I wish you would write to me and we would develop some amazing literary friendship over the miles. But I know that is not likely to happen. It makes me sad. At least I worked up the nerve to write to you and tell you how much your words inspire and move me.
2. Sometimes I wonder what you might say to me now if you were still alive. I like to imagine you would still love me without reservation. I miss you. I feel like you were the only one who never let me down.
3. Not confronting you about the elephant in the room was a coward move on my part.
4. I will never, ever forgive you and I'm okay with that.
5. You are never going to really see me. To you I will always be a little girl and not the man I'm growing up to be. It is sad. But I'm learning to accept that.
6. Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if we had gone on to live the lives I imagined for us. It probably could have only ended terribly - I don't harbor any illusions about that. Still, I wonder if you wonder about me.
7. I'm sorry. Everything went so wrong and you suffered invisibly though the mess. I know what you lost was in some ways far more than what I lost. Your ache is mine though, and I carry it around. I wish you would talk to me. I wish I knew you were okay. I miss you so much.
8. Being able to accept what happened or to understand why it happened does not mean I am obligated to forgive you or even talk to you.
9. You made me believe I was capable of doing amazing things. Thank you for being one of the few caring, thoughtful teachers during my public school years. I will always remember you telling me not to dumb down my words.
10. I wish I knew the truth about you.
Day Two: Nine things about yourself.
Day Three: Eight ways to win your heart.
Day Four: Seven things that cross your mind a lot.
Day Five: Six things you wish you’d never done.
Day Six: Five people who mean a lot (in no order whatsoever).
Day Seven: Four turn-offs.
Day Eight: Three turn-ons.
Day Nine: Two images that describe your life right now, and why.
Day Ten: One moment
