threeplusfireWatching an MTV special on the Video Music Awards, and I'm re-experiencing a certain part of my life all over again. Soul Asylum singing "Runaway Train". Eddie Vedder and Neil young singing together, Pearl Jam onstage, "Sweet Home Alabama" sung by the Red Army Choir from Moscow. Bush, Tom Petty, Eric Clapton, Hole. U2 and Madonna so many times. The year that Guns N Roses and Nirvana played.
Used to religiously watch these awards, but not the past couple of years. Mostly because I was always at work and I didn't have cable anyway. Maybe tonight I will watch.
It's weird, and I don't know what is happening to me as I get older. It scares me a little, that I want to hang onto all this so badly.
