threeplusfireHaven't been on because the roommate is attempting to install Linux on the computer. Oh the fun. So I'm hiding in the library.
Yesterday was good and bad. The morning was good. The evening was bad.
I discovered no one had told me I was also assigned the poetry/mythology section and biographies. So I have a million extra books to shelve. That makes cooking, gardening, architecture, photography, biographies, poetry, mythology and children's chapter books. Eight sections to maintain. I suppose this is the usual "new person in the workplace" occurence. It was extremely depressing last night.
No work tonight at least. I'll go eat chinese food with the Monday night folks, and perhaps go back to Metro.
Veering between stability, apathy and depression. I find myself contemplating piercings and things I never would have before. Almost dyed my hair purple the other night. I'm not sure, but I think it's just the desire for pain.
I never claimed to be quite right.

Date: 2001-09-11 12:29 am (UTC)He is obsessed with the dryer aspects of language so far as I can tell. Can be a pretty good, if somewhat dull teacher. I heard weird stories last year though about some confrontation with a student in a class that turned out bad.
He retired from his position as head of the department, and he has some interesting hobbies that I should probably not mention online. The whole department does really. Very interesting parties.
