I sold a bag of books at Half Price today. While I was there I ran into my favorite coworker from those times - a guy who was infinitely patient and kind. He told me my constant chatter about the Czech republic lead him to go there himself a few years ago. It made me happy to hear that.
It was a hundred degrees in the backyard this afternoon. I floated in the pool with a book, and at times felt almost chilled by the breeze on the water. It was pretty nice. Mike came home and traded me some funnel cake for the pool float.
Tomorrow is my birthday. I feel melancholy about it for a lot of reasons I don't want to go into right now. But at least Squishable has celebrated for me all week, releasing some new Squishables like a Pufferfish (omg yes) and new minis. They probably aren't actually celebrating me, but it has been nice. I have some sangria chilling in the fridge and I might just have some for breakfast tomorrow.
