Jul. 12th, 2011 02:09 pmThe humidity is a cruel cherry on top of this miserable summer. My yard is mostly dead, burnt dry. I have to admit, I sneer at the handful of people determined to keep regulation golf course green yards. There's no HOA here and there's a drought. It makes no sense to use that much water for a yard you never actually use. (I've taken to rinsing out my coffee brewing pitchers in the yard, because I hate to pour the water down the sink.
I've felt so lax about writing here. Since we came home from our trip, I've felt out of sorts.

Date: 2011-07-12 08:04 pm (UTC)Tho Lawn Guy said that some areas have mandatory watering twice a week, because they border open areas susceptible to wildfires and want to keep vegetation in the settled areas as wet as possible. I hadn't heard of that before, but in that case it does make sense.
