maybe I just need a reboot

My motivation today is uneven. I listened to some Yogpod while I baked a pan of brownies for Mike's office and then peeled eleven million potatoes for soup. Then there was the washing of giant leeks and their eleven million layers. (The only upside to all this vegetable peeling and chopping is that it makes food & the scraps are good for stock.) I did some laundry and went to the store for caffeine and juice. I set the Scooba to mopping the kitchen and used way too much vinegar so the house smelled a little briny for a bit. But I really haven't done much I meant to do, other than eat lunch and read more about Noel Coward's war work. I need to exercise but I feel terribly unmotivated.

We are on the same wavelength. I made chicken stock yesterday. I'm making pumpkin soup right now and am making brownies for dessert and for David to take the rest of to work tomorrow!

Our psychic connection strikes again! I'm making potato leek soup, because it my favorite even if I have to peel all the potatoes and leeks. Soup and brownies for everyone!

Small world...

I recently saw Coward's In Which We Serve, a WWII picture he wrote, produced, starred in, and co-directed with David Lean.

How lovely and random! I've just been reading about all his crazy war time creations & how the press accused him of shirking the war by traveling so much, even though lots of the traveling was to perform for troops and make such films!
