I beat Raze a few days at at a track on Audiosurf. Today he came back and destroyed my score, scoring a third again as many points. Well, I just nailed his score and then some. I can't wait until he logs in tomorrow and sees that. MWUAHAHAHA. I also spanked his scores on a couple other songs he said I would never beat him at, so it should be good. Oh, I just can't wait to hear the mock fury in his voice. Hilarious.

(I may have totally thrown my arms in the air and shouted "YES OH GOD YES" loudly at my screen when I saw the scores.)

Yep, we are total children. We hit each other off cliffs in Minecraft and compete over Audiosurf. It's great. Today he introduced me to this texture pack (BDcraft by Sphax) that's really nice - it has sort of a comic book style to it that's really fun. It makes ice look amazing so I might actually work on my ice castle a bit.

I am so sleepy. I slept a ridiculous long time last night. But I think giving up a lot of my caffeine intake has been ridiculous. I'm trying to cut down on the sodas. But I get better at reaching every day, so I should be able to make some coffee soon.

Maybe we'll get lucky and it will rain all week long. Sweet sweet rain.

The world alternately disappoints and elates. But its okay for me, at least right now.

HAHAH! Totally! That documentary is *amazing* and I just love how weird it gets.

I've never been able to meditate or any such exercise of the mind. But I can completely zone while playing certain games, like Audiosurf and I think it must be similar.

I used to get locked into the zone playing Colin McRae Rally. I'd reach a trance-like point where my eyes were recording what was happening and my hands were reacting, and my brain had no part to play in the process at all. It was a feeling of total calm!

It's amazing!

Have you ever played audiosurf? It's basically a race along the track, collect the colored bars, don't hit the grey ones, set to your own music. So it's ridiculously fun for very little effort or investment. I got it cheap off Steam a couple weeks ago.

I am traditionally a nintendo/PS3 guy myself. But the control for Audiosurf is so basic using the mouse and I'm pretty sure you can plug in a game controller with it as well. It reminds me of playing old school Mario Cart on the rainbow road in space!
