I danced last night to two of my favorite songs, and it was glorious. I used to sit up at night, listening to the radio on my little clock/radio/alarm that I kept up until I was about 27. This song "Living in Oblivion" would play, sometime after ten usually. It frightened me, because I was in the midst of developing my (still) unbearable terror and horror at the brief fragility of being alive. But I love that song.

So I danced, and then Eugene played "Valerie Loves Me" and it was good, good, good. Because I am still alive.
