Last night one of my friends held a Dia De Los Muertos gathering, complete with an altar table full of photos and trinkets and letters and candles and food. Three of us have lost someone in the past three or four months. It was a good night overall - cold and clear, a lot of friends and food and alcohol. I spent a lot of time talking to Maria about Russia, and I heard the craziest most beautiful live Concrete Blonde track I've ever heard.

Ah, yes. It's brilliant. That's my favourite version of that song too. The whole live album is incredible. It has my fave version of Mexican Moon on it.
