Today I ate a big salad, two tacos and an orange. I also took a long bath, then washed and scrubbed my face with some new expensive facial products. The travel size toiletries I ordered for my trip arrived. Putting them away in my bathroom cabinet, I marveled at how much stuff I had these days for my skin and my hair. I don't think I even washed my face with anything when I was a teenager.

It occurred to me that this is due to the fact I stopped seeing my body as the ultimate enemy after I came out. That my self loathing is no longer an automatic, given response for how I treat myself.

So that's exciting.

Slowly but surely I am tying up the loose ends related to my father.

I have a lot of nightmares.

Looking forward to a week of not working, and some vacation days in Chicago.

Goth convention. So, lots of dancing I hope. I need to start thinking about where I want to eat. Probably also an afternoon in the park if the weather cooperates. I'm staying in the Congress Plaza downtown.

I've eaten lots of places but I can't remember the name of a single one except for Uno pizzeria. It was so god damn delicious.

I imagine they're pricey, but eating at The Girl and the Goat is on my bucket list. At the table where you can watch them preparing food, if possible.
