I made the most delicious tuna sandwich today. Dijon mustard mixed with four heaping spoons of relish, three anchovy fillets, and four ounces of tuna. Then some sheets of dried seaweed to keep the toast from getting soggy. The saltiness of the anchovy balances the astringent mustard.

My arm is healing up slowly. I'll have quit a livid scar from it. I went back to the gym today and did not start spontaneously bleeding, so that's good. I lifted many heavy things. I ran a couple miles.

Dare I say this summer has been... temperate? I'm afraid that naming the phenomena means it will end. The weather is actually pretty bearable.

It's already scheduled to get worse (upper 90s instead of mid), but it's July, so it's not like you're jinxing anything by noticing that summer has actually been pretty decent so far.

We had more than one instance of seriously freaking cold weather last winter, and no incidents of bizarre 90+ days in Jan-April. It will be weird to live somewhere with four seasons again, but it looks like that's what we're heading towards. I do have a bunch of neat cowls and gloves to wear when it's cold, which will make up for my ideal temperature range being 80-90.

I just realized... not that I post to LJ ever, except as comments, but I haven't even needed to set this to my default icon yet.

I hope this weather lasts more than a year, like last time.

Are you crazy busy with your new practice? We must have a meal and talk about all the things! In a couple weeks I'll even have a new tattoo to show off!

Yes, crazy busy is a good way to put it! I'm loving it, though. We definitely need to get together. I will be in a much better spot to do something after the 21st of this month, as I'm working on a super difficult asylum case that I have to have ready by that date...but after, I'll definitely make a day to come lunch and catch up. We can compare new tattoos!! xo
