This summer has been hard on me. Still in a certain degree of limbo regarding the last legal fuckery that must be done for my father's estate. (Every time I think about it I wish I had thrown my hands up in the air and walked away. Nothing is worth the anxiety and misery and headache of all this. Some stupid part of my brain was compelled to make sure this was settled.)

Working a lot, which makes me tired. Trying to go to the gym on the regular to keep myself sane. Though I will have to take next week off after I get my new tattoo.

Made lasagna tonight for dinner and I think it was the best one I've ever made. Italian sausage, three colors of bell pepper, zucchini and fresh mozzarella. I feel good. It is a reasonably not terrible meal that has just enough cheese for Mike to enjoy.

Our gentle summer has given way to the heat and it saps my energy.

I have a stack of library books to finish. Glen Cook is one of my favorite fantasy/sci-fi authors. Currently reading his Darkwar trilogy.

There are a couple good shows in the next few weeks that I'm looking forward to seeing. Dancing in the dark.

I hope you can put the entire estate business behind you soon. I know that's been very tough on you.

Lasagna sounds amaaaazing. Have fun dancing!

For serious. It's entirely possible the radio silence from the other end means good things for me, but enough times stuff has come up to bite me in the ass that I remain cynical and angry and exhausted by it.

The lasagna came out really nice. I buy the oven ready noodles and follow the time/temp directions on the package as far as cooking. It has never failed me.
