What? No 'Birdy'? I mean, yeah, Face Off of course, and Valley Girl totally, but BIRDY. He got best actor for that one, I think. Plus it had the best ending evar.

Prescription for any blahs, sads, or need of perspective: watch Birdy again. Or maybe you did and don't love it?

Every year it is going to be a different set of movies, so perhaps they will run some of his most emotionally resonant roles as a set? I've never actually seen Birdy! I'm putting it in my netflix queue.

The soundtrack to Valley Girl is so so so good.
