After all that sleep how can you still be tired? I don't know, I say.

I wound up working late, covering for one of my coworkers. Her boyfriend of four years ended their relationship on the phone in the middle of her shift, and she was so miserable I made her go home.

Of course, we had one of those customers who waited til 10pm to make her way up to the register and then proceeded to go through her entire stack of books at my counter, dithering about what she wanted to buy. I was not friendly. I hope she noticed.

I have my screen open and I can smell the marijuana smoke from my downstairs neighbor. It's nice and cold outside, so I can wear my furry hat and furry slippers.

How horrible to have it end after so long .. yet, it was very disrespectful to do it on the phone and when she's at work. I'm a total book worm ... I'd be one of those people who have to be torn out of the store .. but, I never stay past closing unless I desparately need to find something or unless I'm oblivious to the closing time.

Yeah it was quite rough on her. I'm glad I was able to get her to go home. Working, especially with that woman making us stay late, would have been too much.

I don't mind people who stay til the last minute. I jsut mind the people who can't bring their purchases up before the last minute and wind up taking ten minutes. That's not very kind to the people working.

If only you could start administering mild electric shocks to customers about 15 minutes to closing. (getting progressively less mild)
