I just spent a glorious week in DC. There's something very special about getting to sit around with someone who will talk non stop with you about writing and head canons and things. I've only been home two hours and I already miss it.

I flew first class on the way home, which meant an obscene amount of free gin & tonics, and snacks. Also the flight crew was unbearably attractive.

One of the things I did during this trip was start using the men's restroom. That was weird and scary as hell. I was waiting the whole time to get thrown out. But I did it. We'll see if I have the nerve to do that here in Texas, where I seem to pass less well.

I'm unbelievably exhausted but pretty happy aside from the fuck ton of laundry I need to do.

Yay for vacation and being able to be all fannish. I'm aching to talk "Sense8" now that I've finished all 12 episodes, but the only one easily available is my husband.

Good luck with the bathrooms thing - that's on my radar because of controversy over a city ordinance down in Charlotte that was meant to let trans people use the restroom they wanted, but a really loud bunch of idiots delayed it.

Fandom stuff - I've been lucky in that I found a couple people worth talking to. We run a group chat that people drop in and out, with many revolving discussions.

I keep meaning to watch Sense8 but my attention span for actual narrative television is so small lately.

The bathroom thing is terrifying. Men's rooms are very different from women's rooms. Technically it is illegal for me to use the men's room here at home because of the gender listed on my driver's license.

Hilariously the men's room is the quietest place I've ever been.
