I'm sleepy. Too much government studying. I'm wearing a sweater but it shouldn't be this cold. Perhaps if I spitefully wear a tank top the sun will come out again. Just waiting for Karen to finish showering, and then off to school for tests and discussions and all that stuff. I should pack my bag.

Had a lovely conversation with the wonderful Miss Rose about all kinds of things. She offered an incredible bribe to get me to Montana- she'll make me anything I want. Right now I'm think I need a black ballgown of sorts. Because who doesn't need a ballgown? Now the goal is to find an inexpensive plane ticket to Montana.

Professor P. ran off with my book yesterday, so I might try to get it back. Deb is bringing me the Pekarkova. So i will have lots of Czech to read when I should be studying yet more government. Speaking of which, I need to go find my books.

Otto Urban spoke about David Cherny in my Prague class, and brought slides of some of his fantastic work. Apparently he knows him well, and often stores some of Cherny's sculptures in his barn back in the Czech Republic. Cherny is the most famous artist in the Czech Republic, and lives in Prague. He did The Killing Day in London years ago, the giant faceless black babies in New York (which now adorn the Prague TV Tower) and a fantastic interpretation of St. Vaclav. I think he and Havel get along. His work is very thought provoking.
