Depeche Mode and sunlight
Jun. 18th, 2001 12:41 pmI am happy, happy girl listening to the radio and watching the street.
Don't say you want me don't say you need me don't say you love me its understood don't say you're happy out there without me I know you can't be cause it's no good
We didn't make it to the bone church yesterday because Craig can't plan anything. Who in the world takes the bus on Sunday that direction anyways? Instead I saw The Closet, a pretty funny French movie. Seriously tested my powers of comphrension, since the film was in French and the subtitles in Czech! Whee! I felt so good about myself afterwards, since I was able to follow the dialogues pretty well.
The other day I saw a priest on the metro, all in black. I stood behind him and wondered how he could have grey hairs and such a youthful neck. I wanted to talk to him and ask where I could find an English speaking priest for Confession. Yet I didn't want to interrupt his serenity or perhaps my perfect image of him. Silence is sometimes beautiful.
On Otto's recommendation, I bought a DJ Krush cd the other day. Now, I wonder how I lived without it. Great, great stuff. Enya is on the radio now.
I'm going to tinker with my camera in hopes of making it work. Because I really want my own pictures of places I spend a lot of time, and I'd like some pictures of my professors at Charles. A picture of the statue of Kepler and Brahe near the Kolej too.
What else have I been doing? Eating the most amazing strawberries ever. I literally staggered with joy at the first bite. Such strawberries, so small and crimson, juicy and flavorful. Nothing like strawberries I've eaten in America. (of course, you have to eat them pretty quick since they don't have preservatives or anything) I but them in half kilo boxes from stands near metro stops. Sometimes I can't wait to get home and I sneak a few into my mouth while I'm walking to the tram. I can't help it. They really are that good. They taste like summer.
Going to film class in an hour or two. I wonder what we are going to watch today.
