Woke up this morning to strange light. After a minute of sleepy confusion, I realized it was cloudy outside. Grey! Wet! In the 70s!

Lovely, absolutely lovely. It's raining out there.

It's been quiet round here

Karen and Melynda took off for Houston for a couple days. The apartment is quiet, my own for a little while. It's nice of them to give me some time alone every now and then.

Going to Antonio's for dinner, and to see a cheap hilarious movie at Discount Cinema. Steven is leaving in a few days, first to visit his family then off to a new job in Pennsylvania. We have to stuff him full of Mexican food and margaritas and our special former-PcO silliness. I'm going to miss him a lot. He's part of the original Monday night dinner escape, and one of the greatest supervisors I've ever had. A good fellow. I hope his new job proves more fun than the last.

Sitting in the living room, my cds turned up, singing along, doing my laundry. Feels like my old life, and for once that's nice.
