Spent $1 on the worst Head and Shoulders commercial ever. Starring David Duchovny. Yep, that was Evolution. Sweet lord, that was quite possibly the single worst film I've seen in years. And I was on the selection committee for a student film festival this spring! Gah.

Didn't help that I had a headache from the demon drink with my dinner. Steven and I were so looped from that one evil margarita/midori/blue something combination that was walked around the parking lot for twenty minutes to sober up. After enchiladas! Yikes. Suzanne laughed and took pictures of us sitting in the car listening to Guns N Roses. Because it was a hilarious moment indeed.

I can't believe I spent a dollar on that movie. At least it was only one dollar. I love the discount movie theater. It was possibly worth a dollar to see Duchovny's buttocks for a ten seconds early in the movie. Possibly.

At noon, I have a job interview. I'm so nervous and happy and hopeful. It's been months, ages, since I had to interview, considering my last job started in 1999.

They called me back yesterday around noon, and last night while I was out the other place called as well. Positively giddy with relief. After spending so much time sending out resumes and applying to places that either never called back or said I was over/under qualified, I felt so depressed about ever finding a job.

One hour! I must flee!

Interview went well. Very friendly manager. I will hear back on Friday. Called the other store back and left a message.

In other news, coughing so hard I have a blinding headache. At first, I just thought it was dust in the air, allergies or something mild. But it's been a week, and it's only getting worse. Trying to summon up the will to drive to the store and get cough syrup. Between the headache and the heat, I'm dreading it.

Sick people should not drive themselves to the store for medicine. Their coughing and gasping for air will invariably frighten small children and their parents. Sick people are also prone to bouts of uncontrollable coughing that renders them temporarily unable to drive, causing them to accidentally swerve and/or decelerate.

Friends don't let sick friends drive. This public service announcement brought you to by me.
