today today

Working during the day feels odd. Leaving at 5 just strange. Like there is nothing left for me to do, and it's too early to go to bed. But I did talk a little with one of my coworkers today in a way that was both meaningful and light.

Went out and bought Christmas-y, sparkly underwear. Came home and baked some rolls for dinner. Eating rolls with butter and drinking soda. Thinking I should work on that paper.

I think I am happy. Even with everything going on now, I think at some inner core, I'm finally at peace with myself.

Maybe it's just a moment. I hope not.
