I am Lucius Malfoy. Fear me. Mwuhaha.

Spent perhaps the most pleasant evening back in Austin, hanging out in Metro, babbling in Czech with Gene, reading the Chronicle, playing cards, reading Sam's snarky paper, and listening to 80s music in the car. I didn't realize I could still sing my way through "We didn't start the fire" like that.

I feel better right now, however brief this moment may be.

oddly, the sun is still shining

I think the tropical storm in the Gulf is sending up advance scouts. The sky is growing gray, and the wind is rising. Things are flying around the porch, and something glass broke nearby. It reminds me a bit of tornado weather, but not quite.

I found someone to fix, or recreate rather, my necklace. Lisa sent it to me when I graduated from high school. It's just a simple hemp piece with some green beads. BUt I've had it so long, and I'm terribly fond of it.
