Oct. 21st, 2002 10:49 am1) What's one of the funniest movie moments you can remember right now?
The scene in Dogma where Alan Rickman's yelling at the main character for spraying him with the fire extinguisher.
2) What's the creepiest movie moment you've ever seen?
The scene in the original Blob where it oozes into the movie theater. I sat in the middle of the theater for years because that creeped me out so much.
3) Ever had one of those movie moments where you just wish you could crawl into the film and live there? What movie was that?
Pretty much all of Lord of the Rings, really. Especially Rivendell, Lotholorien and the Elves.
4) What's the most powerful movie moment ever caught on celluloid?
The last twenty minutes of Dancer in the Dark. I have never seen a movie that made me scream before, and it remains one of the most painful, wrenching moments ever.
5) What's the first movie moment you remember?
My father and his friend Roy took me to see the Transformers movie on the big screen.
6) Have you ever seen something on film you wish you could un-see? What movie was that?
I wish I could un-see the entire Piano Teacher, which was one of the most screwy insane things I've seen in my life. Most especially the scene where she is cutting her sex in the bath tub while her mother is making dinner.
7) Name a movie moment that made you long to fall in love.
Dracula and Mina, in Coppola's film in the early 90s. When they're dancing together, and her turns her tears into gems, and she has that beautiful red dress.
8) Has a movie moment ever made you go out and do something you hadn't done in a while, or had never done before? What was it?
Oddly, it was Pump Up the Volume that I remembered when things went to hell in my high school. I wish I had been more extroverted or outspoken back then. Pulp Fiction always made Christian and I want to rob diners.
9) Got a crush on an actor or actress? What was the movie moment that did it for you?
Any moment where Alan Rickman opens his mouth and uses that gorgeous voice.
10) Do you have one of those movie moments you just can't get enough of? The kind you rewind and play over and over again? What is it?
Way, way, way too many of them.
Current favorite, as of the other night:
"Why a spoon cousin? Why not an axe?"
"Because it's dull you twit, it'll hurt more!"
