Dec. 25th, 2002 12:34 pmMy mother gave me a giant cookie book, with literally a thousand and one recipes for every kind of cookie I've ever eaten and quite a few I haven't. This should be fun. Also, the box set of the extended version of Fellowship of the Ring, which is why I'm seeing the second movie again at 3 this afternoon. I have lots of candy, some spicy scented soap and a set of makeup from my grandmother. She also gave me a half dozen small bottles of different scents, which I like immensely.
We managed to fill Revie's gorgeous bottle using a tuberculosis shot needle & syringe to drain the perfume from it's container, since the design prevents one from just pouring it out. Trust me, it was a very Malfoy moment.
Brilliantly, sparkling cold outside, with that brittle sunshine I remember from the Christmas years of my childhood. I called Melynda at 9am, long after we finished opening our presents, and was shocked to learn her family was not even up yet. It's Christmas, one has to get up early! Last night my mother and drank extremely good champagne, and dropped maraschino cherries in our glasses. I wrote in front of the fire place, and it was very peaceful and happy. It's a bit sad, without my father there anymore. I have not heard from him. Was kind of hoping he might call after he got the card and the photgraphs I sent. Maybe he is in Amarillo. I'm calling there later.
So quiet here.
