Feb. 28th, 2003 01:54 amThe fog is thick, and swirling. I've not seen it quite like this before, so heavy that you can't see the next light on the highway and yet moving like water. Standing on the edge of the parking lot, my building is wreathed in a mist. Didn't drive more than 50 on the way home, for the visibility was so poor. It makes everything soft.
I drove on the overpass today. My heart pounded painfully loud in my ears, but I needed to prove to myself that I can do it.
All the ice had melted this afternoon, except for a little patch under the cluster of oak trees in the front yard. I pulled weeds and threw them for the cat to chase.
Need stamps, and movies, and more caffiene.
