1. What is your favorite type of printed matter to read?
Probably novels, I must say, though I have a love for good magazines like Harpers and Texas Monthly.

2. What is your favorite novel?
Now that is hard. Ultimately, probably Crime & Punishment by Dostoevsky. Though Skvorecky's The Miracle Game, all of Nabokov and Somerset Maugham and Edith Wharton are close behind.

3. Do you have a favorite poem?
Hmm. I don't know.

4. What is the one thing you've always wanted to read, or wish you had more time to read?
That would be everything.

5. What are you currently reading?
Strong Opinions, essays and interviews and letters by Vladimir Nabokov

Traffic is clogged, because the city in their wisdom shut down Anderson Mill at 183 from 6am to 8pm on Saturday. Ugh. So it took me more than an hour to get gas and groceries, which I spent sitting in my car singing along very loudly to Stickpony.

Wherehouse is closing, so perhaps I'll go on a cd buying spree. While I am being very responsible with my first paycheck, and chunked it all into the bank the other day, I feel like I should treat myself to something.

Spoke to Hana this afternoon, and she invited me down to speak to several of her students about the Brno program. Not only will I get to hang around campus all day, I'll get to have lunch with her and chat.

So, being that I am sometimes exceedingly foolish, I just blew $165 in Wherehouse Music. But they're closing, and everything was on sale! I calculated, and I would have spent nearly that much just on the anime I bought. But then I had a fantastic hamburger and came home to the empty apartment.

Placebo by Placebo. The only CD I bought. Onto the DVDs then.

Lain, the entire set of episodes. I was so pleased to find this in the store, which was obviously ransacked.

A Perfect Murder, one of my favorite movies ever. Given that I'll watch this over and over again, I had to buy it.

The Lost Boys, classic 80s vampire fun with both the Coreys. Can't go wrong with that.

Habit, an exceptionally well done vampire movie

I couldn't resist any of it really. And there were eight million more things I wanted to get. Must resist urge to go back. But it's awfully chilly and damp, so I'm going to sit here and let my mind be blown away by Lain. Took me fifteen minutes to open the soda. Should have picked up some chocolate. Life feels pretty good right now.

Hah. Good thing I wore my green pants and my King of Gondor ring today, I suppose.

I have so many movies I don't know what to watch first. Damn it, Netflix was supposed to keep me from spending too much money. Oh well. I've wanted these for ages.
