I spent the better part of the last couple hours of my shift making gigantic origami swans out of plat maps. I was that bored. There was a lot of rubber band shooting going on around various bays.
Quiet geeky evening at the apartment. He loaded Neverwinter Nights and I perused old volumes of White Wolf stuff on the floor. We are geek paradise.
It rained early this morning, and now it's cottony thick humid out there. Rain rain rain. Happy Fourth of July.
Went to the grocery store to buy razorblades, hair dye, condoms, pens and quiche. Had a lovely conversation with the girl in line ahead of me, who had to run back for whipping cream. She's got a starving artist boyfriend and she's signing the papers on Friday for a house, and was actually really curious about my job working with the flood zones.
If I wasn't bleeding right now I'd be perfectly content. The fact that the boy knew it was coming before I did has been cracking me up all morning.
Me: *muttering under my breath about the unfairness of it*
Him: But your breasts were bigger yesterday, so I thought you knew!
Me: What?
