no laundry for me

Woke up fairly early for me, and thought about doing much needed laundry. At least until a group of loudly screaming youth appeared on the scene. From the unholy racket it sounds like they're destroying the laundry room and/or attempting to steal the coin boxes from the machines. I loathe people some days.

Eventually the laundry got done. I snapped at the couple twelve year old kids making a racket in there.

We lazed around today and watched The Patriot which was surprisingly entertaining. I see why Melynda doesn't like it, lots of gore. Jason Isaacs is fantastic. I really need screen caps of the scene where he downs his drink right after the ship blows up. It would make a hysterical animated icon for Alan, because that's such an Alex moment.

My roses are beginning to open up, and the apartment smells lovely. I ate a couple truffles today. We're going hungry til dinner, so we can eat lots of delicious food at Eddie V's.

ahi tuna, lobster and chocolate cake

We had a lovely dinner tonight, in the big comfy booth in the back. I like the shaded oil lamps on the tables, and the heavy menus. We had the ahi tartare again, and it was so delicious. Alan had a salmon steak and I had the pan roasted lobster and scallops. Chocolate raspberry mousse cake for dessert! I am so full, and my shoes had so little traction that I nearly fell in the marble foyer. Thankfully no one noticed my momentary unsteadiness.

We have super fast internet now! I am so full and sleepy from rich food! Yay!
