I don't have any hope of actually writing a novel in a month. Just this idea that maybe I'll finally develop some kind of discipline about the writing. It's all locked up in my head and the characters won't ever live a complete life that way.

Last night I went to the Nanowrimo meeting at Book People. I always forget how much I like Book People. I recieved several compliments on my coat, but everyone seemed to think I was a pirate. My inner wizard was shocked, shocked I tell you.

Someone stood up and said she wrote 50,000 words in 12 days last year. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? Does these people not have jobs?

I don't know. Anyway, I should probably start writing that.
At least it didn't rain on Halloween.

Alan has performed incredible cooking magic once again. Yesterday, he made tilapia soaked in lime juice and dusted with cilantro, with a mango ancho pico de gallo. Amazing. Some of the best pico ever with incredible citrusy fish. Tonight, we ate flounder baked with fresh pepper, dill, lemon and chives. We chopped it up and made tacos with the leftover pico, which has only gotten better. He also created a delicious sauce, full of carmelized onions, ancho peppers, roasted tomato, roasted garlic and roasted jalapeno. There was a lot of the sauce, so tomorrow I will use it as pasta sauce.

Oh delicious fish, and fairly healthy dinners! A tablespoon of butter in the entire meal. I am full of sea faring protein.

The writing forges onwards, and I'm pleased with the forward motion. The cat keeps trying to distract me with his fluffiness.
