No one wants to be in the office today. It's blessedly quiet, given that our resident harridans are out of the office for the holiday. My boss isn't here, so I don't know why I stay. We should really just go home. Or to the bar to watch the game.

One of these days, I hope this headache stops.

The announcers on ABC are completely baffled by the score, and the whole debacle over one point is thoroughly and utterly confusing. On the field goal attempt, things went horribly, weirdly awry, and A&M landed on the ball in the end zone. Why we get a point for that I have no idea.

We won the game, once again coming from behind. The whole thing was rather weird, and full of some crazy plays. There was some ugly facemasking, and when Texas sacked the kicker for A&M, we spun the poor boy around in the air. Crazy, crazy. Alan's rather bummed. We went out to try and find him a flannel blanket for comfort. But three department stores and a number of overpriced sheets later we could not find one single damn flannel blanket. What gives? I did find a superb jacquard blanket with a satiny lining that I wanted terribly. But I can't convince myself to spend $80 on a blanket. I've never actually paid money for a blanket. Bought some sheets, but never a blanket. How odd.

I did recently talk myself into buying more stuff from the kind folks at BPAL last week. I picked up two of the limited edition holiday scents and a packet of imps to sample.

Gingerbread Poppet - Warm, cozy gingerbread spiced with nutmeg, clove and cinnamon.

Hearth - Sweet pipe tobacco, cherry wood, the warm, worn leather of an easy chair and a pleasant, subtle waft of fireplace smoke.

I need to buy myself a little spray bottle or two, and some mixings to turn the oils into sprays. It would please me immensely to be able to spritz myself because my skin likes to soak up the oil so quickly.

I haven't been writing as much because my arms are killing me. My keyboard needs to be exchanged because it believes itself to be a mouse no matter with USB port I plug the damn adapter into and it's a frigging PS/2 anyhow. How the hell did I buy the only keyboard still made with a PS/2 connector? Ugh. But I'm almost done with this first stage, even through I'm onyl halfway through the story. It's coming along. I dream about it, and it's the last thing I think about before I fall asleep at night.
