A beautiful Christmas card from
ladyjaida made the day complete! It has berries on it, which rocks my world. I totally forgot to check the mail the other day.
I spent a rather lazy morning finishing up Sense & Sensibility which I have to say is a very peculiar story in my mind. But I suppose a lot of that has to do with the rather constrained nature of social interaction between unmarried girls and men, and the absolutely absurd methods of engagement. If anyone every questions my quick marriage I will inform them that I merely had a scandalously passionate 18th century courtship.
Today was a day where I frequently buried my phone under piles of candy or forgot to do things. But I think that was alright, as I ended up sitting at Texpresso for a long while and drinking too much coffee. I saw Karen briefly and we played a spirited game of Spite & Malice. In the rest of the time, I put down four solid pages of a new chapter in the ongoing wizard novel. I was getting frustrated with finishing off a scene and tying up loose ends, so I simply skipped ahead. With only the image of the two main characters drinking tea in the window seat of a cafe, I rpoceeded to sketc out an entirely new adventure that might hold far reaching consequence for them both. My poor wizard was rather put out that I made him wear a rather fancy coat with more embellishment than he prefers, but I consoled him with the possibility of new libraries.
I maintain that Arrested Development is the funniest, smartest piece of TV ever. Though melynda will be glad to know I watched an episode of Lost last week and found it rather intriguing.
My grandparents will be arriving Tuesday, which I am very glad to know. I am hoping to wrangle an afternoon off work. tomorrow I will be having yet more coffee with Sarah and Rothko, and there will be much candy!
