My grandmother belonged to an order of women who rose at dawn to give thanks to the eastern star when their husbands returned home safely from their secret wars. The star hung silently in the velvet jewel box sky.

I am so full of burrito that I am sleepy at 8 in the evening!

So my day got so much better and fun when I left work to meet Sarah at Texpresso. We talked much about Colin's famous penis and many other silly topics, as well as family and holidays and high minded questions of literature. We are well rounded modern young ladies who discuss naked men and great books in the same afternoon. We were very hungry and went to Trudy's for tacos. (In the end, we did not order tacos.)

On the drive over, I heard a hilarious poppy rock song. The fellow sang about all he wanted for christmas, which turned out to be a three foot alien with seventeen eyes who could fly. It was the best Christmas song ever. EVER.

At Texpresso we continued our wit, and were joined by Rothko who had adventured all over town today. More discussion of film, full frontal nudity and tormenting other people by purchasing loud toys for the kids ensued. We were all witty and full of Mexican food. Though it seemed to take forever for the food to arrive, which peeved me to no end.

I handed out bags of candy with shiny bows and it made me happy! Yay for christmas candy giving. I need to do this every year.

I am very excited by thr prospect of movie nights with Sarah, and I am already making a shopping list for movie beverages and snacks. Woo!

oh my god I'm tired.
