Today I finally had a caller that I was so genuinely happy to talk with that I wanted to hug the woman. She had been involved with some work with a local agency to get the water bill paid for this old man who just got out of prison. Well the man has no money, no friends, no family and no electricity. This kind random woman decided that she would do something about it, so she called today to see if APS could help. She's been over there helping him clean up the house because no one lived there in all the time he way away. She told me she just couldn't stand the thought of that old man living alone out in the middle of nowhere without any help. She never met the man before last week. It was profoundly sweet.

Today wasn't so bad. I nearly busted up laughing when a caller told me that this woman gets her drug dealer to babysit her kids sometimes. The dealer, he's not such a hot babysitter. He just gets high. Seriously, who the hell gets their drug dealer to babysit? Bwahaha, that should not be as funny as it sounded to me.

I'm off to get some coffee at Texpresso and chat with Tom.
