Aug. 24th, 2005 06:23 pmWell, that was exciting wasn't it? My laptop seems to loathe the wireless at Texpresso, so I'm having a pain of a time getting internet outside of work. Tyler's place and Metro are about it.
Anyhow. When I last left off the tale, my car was dead. Completely, profoundly, not driving anywhere dead. Clutch gone, other system problems, electrical problems and not to mention the lack of air conditioning. The repair quote was about half of what I paid for the car in the first place. It also happened to be about all the money I could comfortably spend without going to the poor house.
So now I'm driving a 2006 Saturn Ion 2, and oh my god I didn't know how nice driving could be in a brand new car. It's storm grey, has power everything (including sunroof) and a six disc cd changer in the dash. It also has air conditioning and quite nice gas mileage. It cost me a measly downpayment and an agreement that a bank will own me for the next 5 years. But, it is worth it. I got a better interest rate than I expected too. I had been planning on getting a new car next year, something shiny. It was going to be my treat to myself, a new life starting over kind of thing. It has just happened a little sooner than I planned.
I would post a picture, but I'm at work. Lame.
