I have Breakfast at Tiffany's stuck in my head again. I wish I knew why this song is so persistent.
Work has been the all emergency all the time line today. P1 after P1 after P1! I thought my brain might crack at the end there. Thankfully no one has made me quite so cranky as yesterday. The crazy folks took friday off. I did feel so bad for the Mexican boy who needed a CPS pickup at the border crossing today. Both his parents were arrested for drug smuggling, and there is no one to pick up the poor kid. Can you imagine being stranded in another country after your parents are arrested? So sad.
My vanity is pricking at my laziness and fear. I found myself contemplating getting contacts the next time I get my eyes checked. But the eyes! Ick. I'm not sure I can force myself to touch the eyeballs. But it would be so nice not to have glasses. I don't know. It's a ways off so I have time to stew.
I get out of work soon and I'm doing the Lubys run to get dinner for Stacy and Eric. Tonight is gaming fun. Tomorrow night is the UT game. Sunday is Firefly. So much to do in the next couple of days. I need to decide where to watch the game. Tyler, I'm looking in your direction. I think I could make it out even for the kick off after work, if the game is at 7pm.
