(no subject)

I ate a lot of mashed potato, turkey and stuffing today during the unit meeting. It was good. I made a chocolate strawberry pie to share with the coworkers. The phones were quiet, mostly. I have some choice moments though, including a 19 year old father who told me "I don't want this shit on me" when talking about his 4 and 2 year old children. He was mad because the mother wanted him to take care of the children. Son of a bitch sounded high as all get out too. I wanted to drive to his house and hit him upside the head. Ugh.

I'm working through the holidays, and probably spending this time alone. A far cry from last year, but then, what isn't? I should have known that married life and family were too much of a dream to last.
