Today is better than yesterday. It's so warm outside. I put on a sweater this morning because I was cold and now it is 80 degrees. Argh. Well, at least I have a hat coming to me. The Krystof Fandom will be full of envy, because I'll have the hat! Hahaha. Yes, that is really amusing to me and probably to me alone.

I dreamed about playing video games last night, which is a sign that I am playing too much of the video game devils. Curse you, turtles and gorillas and damn wild steelbloom. All my quests now are dungeons, which means I have to actually talk with other people and coordinate. Eep.

Well it finally happened. I had a caller who couldn't speak much English and was a Russian speaker. I was able to get some basic things from him, and I could understand about 70% of what he was saying. I sadly lacked the vocabulary to explain things or ask certain questions, so I had to pull in an interpreter from the language line service. Thank you AT&T for finally being useful. It's funny what you retain and what you don't. I could get all my numbers but hell if I could remember how to hit or slap. I feel sad that my Russian hasn't stuck better, and I really need to find some time to study and practice. Still, it was better to get the interpreter on there for this, because my caller was very emotional and talking extremely fast. Plus he told me an insane story about the grandfather who murdered half the family back in Uzbekistan! I definitely didn't know some of those words.

Okay LJ land. I want you to click on this: http://s92739903.onlinehome.us/sq/random/start.swf

My friend Kevin is at Stanford, and this is an evaluation of an online intro lesson to Japanese. They need feedback for their online teaching program. If you've never studied Japanese, you're fair game. Click, watch the video, listen and click on the video when it beeps. There's a couple questions at the end. It's minimally invasive, interesting and you'll be doing your good deed for the day. Make with the clicking, so Kevin will love me and dedicate something to me.

I love Kevin's random projects. I have the suspicion that he'll never finish this doctorate, so he can stay in school inventing projects and learning.
