Tom Petty will be at ACL fest this year. I'm hard pressed to think of anyone who doesn't like Tom Petty. I'd love to see him again, but I just can't imagine being out there in the heat all day long. Tyler and I are going to see the Arctic Monkeys at Stubbs on June 7th. Yay Britpop.

So the oil change place left the cap off my washer fluid, and it was completely empty. Pig rat bastards. So I need to buy washer fluid, possibly sometime this weekend. I think there is a place out by my mother's where I can grab it when I go pick up my cousin's gift.

I don't think there is a bath product I enjoy more than the Smooches from Villainess. They are simply pure delight in a round jar. I have little vanilla bean flecks here and there from my dwindling tub of Decadence. My all time favorite has to be Indiscreet with its zesty orange goodness, closely followed by Scintillating's minty freshness. I really need to order some more. My skin feels so happy, clean and soft after those scrubs.

Something I didn't get around to writing about last night was China, my mother's youngest kitty. She's an adeventurous part Siamese little hellcat, but the sweetest thing. On Monday, my mother found her in the grass outside the house too battered and pained to do more than lift her head. My mother was scared as hell. The exams haven't shown any breaks or fractures, and the major organs look okay. She's got a small hernia in her stomach though. The best the clinic has been able to come up with is a) she somehow fell or got knocked out of a tree, or b) she was clipped by a car. She's needed pain meds every day, and only got up to walk yesterday for the first time. She was bruised all over. Poor kitty. I'm so glad she wasn't hurt more.

thirty

I learned today that our system will only accept thirty allegations of abuse or neglect in any one case. Only thirty! I had to document the rest of them in a text field, and boy did I have more. I've never done that before. There people will have a special place in hell waiting for them.

It has been crazy busy, especially for a Friday. Must be all those school teachers who wonder why Little Billy has a black eye every week all year long and start to worry when the end of the year comes up. I will be so relived to get out of here tonight and not deal with this for a couple days. It's just been a rough week. I've not even had the chance to watch the newest Dateline internet predator sting. That's rapidly becoming my favorite piece of television evil these days. It's just so wrong, and I get a nasty jolt of happiness when I see these bastards arrested.

My quarterly review went well, all things considered. My supervisor is happy with me, I do well, my grades are all good. I like it that way. One day, I will rule this agency with an iron fist, mwuahahah! Um, yes, moving along.

I'm going to see Mr Sinus' take on Showgirls tonight. For those of you who live outside of my lovely city, Mr. Sinus is rather like a live MST3K gig. From what I've heard it is a riot. I've not had a chance to go, so I'm looking forward to it.
