Last night I had Korean food for the first time in ages. Mmmm baby octopus in spicy soup. I stuffed myself and still couldn't finish. Now I know somewhere that serves delicious little octopus, and can go there more. After dinner, there was some pretty good stand up down at the Velveeta Room on 6th. (I have to shamefully admit I had never ever been there before. I can't remember the name of the place I used to go, a long time ago when I had friends who did a lot of improv.) It was a really funny show, and worth even braving the crowds on the street and junkies wandering the neighborhood.

I so totally want to see Smokin' Aces. Come on! Jeremy Piven! Psychotic hitmen! Even if the entire story is stupid it probably has enough action to be entertaining and unintentionally hilarious.

January in Texas is a varied month. Today, it was in the high fifties and windy with bright unbroken sunshine. I had a late lunch with Mike, and we ate outside at the Arboretum. It was especially pleasant to sit in the sun wearing flip flops and roll my jeans up to my knees. in search of a place more out of the wind we wandered down to the duck pond. Ducks swimming around, big fat geese and a loud pair of swans circled the water. I saw a turtle bobbing along and a man had his dog leaping in with great splashes to fetch sticks. It felt good in the sun, and made me miss summer. I ate ice cream, cinnamon almond with marshmallows. The sun slid down, finally falling behind. My afternoon was beautiful.

I laughed when I walked inside my home and saw Constantine on the television. It's video games, movies, laundry, and comfort calling late.

I forgot everyone and their dog would be online in WoW tonight. It will be half an hor in the queue from here. La. So I'm watching Rome on the high definition channel, which is sweet. Currently there is this promo for boxing, which is something I have mixed feelings about. Well. New Rome next week.
