as the earth swung
this golden hum
washed over me
Today I used the last of my Christmas money to buy a new comforter and sheets. I have the same comforter I've had on my bed since I was about twelve or thirteen. It's falling apart, literally. Tyler got a new bedset for Christmas that is lovely, so I picked up the same comforter but in black. I also purchased some vivid green sheets to go with them. they're washing now, so they will be soft and warm for my bed tonight.
I also bought new clothes because I need a new pair of comfortable jeans. I found yet another quasi-military denim jacket that I fell instantly in love with, and just had to have it. I also bought a dress, something I haven't done in probably about three years. I was thinking I don't have anything to wear if I wanted to go eat out in a fancy restaraunt, or take myself to some high brow theater. I tried it on mostly as a lark, and was shocked when it fit. I suppose I'm going to need a strapless bra to wear it now, but it looks impressive.
Shoe shopping was also on my list, but had to be cancelled. I looked down while buying clothes and noticed my right toes were covered in blood. oddly enough, whatever I did to myself didn't hurt. Weird.
Happy birthday David Bowie! You are always number one for me.
So, sixty something dead birds on Congress this morning. Weird. Bird Death Flu! Chaos! Madness! Seriously, how weird is that?
