I always did love that car
Feb. 19th, 2007 04:08 pmLast night after I gave my Moulin Rouge tickets to the sweet guys celebrating their seventh anniversary, I called Mike to see how he was feeling. I took him some dinner, and watched a couple hours of Futurama. After I made fun of him for his Netflix choices, we watched that gem of spectacular and terrible dialogue Chronicles of Riddick. Why did Judie Dench do this movie? Did she owe someone a lot of money? How did everyone say "necreomonger" so many times without laughing? It was awesome.
Today I saw a purple convertible Cadillac, shooting around a right hand turn at about forty miles an hour. It was sunny and windy like early summer and it was happiness. I drove with all my windows open, shoulders bare to the gold sunshine.
Sarah and I ate lunch at Central Market. Aside from the birds, it was good. We discussed the greatness of Anthony Bourdain. (Today I finally managed to snag a copy of Kitchen Confidential at Half Price and it happens to be signed! Hah! $9! Exclamation point eleventy one!) I ate weird pickle chips that were both spicy and sweet. I'm still unsure if I enjoyed them. But right now, thanks to Bourdain, I'm craving a deep fried oreo cookie. I know, so vile, but it sounds good right now. I want something fried and bad for you.
I need a bunch of new icons. A Bourdain icon, an 80's metal icon, etc. Icons! (Why am I full of exclamation points?)
Also, the Takei video circulating is the most hilarious, hilarious response to major sports homophobia ever.
